Sofia Mohr
Sofia Mohr is a Brazilian type designer who explores typography as a living, expressive language. Her typefaces move between structure and spontaneity, combining organic forms, rhythmic contrast, and cultural influences. Born in Brazil and shaped by more than a decade in Chile, Sofia developed a design approach influenced by the intersection of different cultures and visual traditions. This blend often appears in her typefaces, which explore movement, warmth, and personality — at times breaking typographic conventions to develop a voice of their own. Originally trained as an architect, she later specialized in type design, where she found her primary creative focus: designing letterforms that feel alive, expressive, and intended for real-world use. Today she lives in Brazil near the ocean — one of her favorite places. The rhythm of the waves, the energy of cities, the calm of nature, and small everyday moments often find their way into her creative process. Through her work, she aims to create distinctive typefaces — expressive, memorable fonts designed for real-world use by designers everywhere.
